Republicans are fuming after claiming the decision by an AFL umpire cost them an important vote-winning event on Sunday.
The controversy stems from ruling that the would-be assassin had “insufficient intent” to carry out the act based on how amateur his so-called attempt was.
Basically, the umpire ruled that the failure to carry out the act amounted to deliberate.
We spoke to the AFL who told The Times,
“We understand there is some controversy over this rule, especially after GWS copped it in the final which the orange tsunami reckon cost them the game. We, at the AFL, stand by that decision and we stand by this decision. Hiding in the bushes on a golf course swarmed by security? Especially after a more realistic attempt earlier on. Come on, don’t be naive”
The AFL is clearly not taking a step back. However, to understand the hurt the decision caused we spoke to a MAGA supporter who was spending the day guarding his mother’s cat. He told The Times,
“Trump is a patriot and they want to silence him from speaking the truth! How can you rule that insufficient intent? Why is the AFL pushing this terrible rule so hard, it’s costing us election winning votes!”
Naturally, the democrats have praised the AFL for its courage to stand by its ruling. A spokesperson told The Times,
“Spot on. This is just another attempt for Trump to make headlines. With the level of technology and security you have today you’re going to need some Day of the Jackal type shit to get this done, in the words of Avon Barksdale”
Food for thought. All we do know is the AFL’s insistence on pushing the insufficient intent rule shows no signs of slowing down.
More to come.
