Bloke swaps goose that lays golden eggs for a regular hen as egg prices soar

A Perth bloke who had the good fortune of coming across a goose that lays golden eggs has reevaluated his business model amid the soaring prices of supermarket eggs.

While the golden produced by the magical poultry has given him a good life, he knows that the real money is in regular chicken eggs for the time being so visited a few local coops to make a trade. He told The Times,

“No one is giving away good egg laying hens at the moment so unfortunately I had to offer the golden goose as a trade. Gold is good and all but have you seen the price of egg cartons? Every retailer is enjoying an all you can gouge buffet”

Sources close to the man have warned him that while egg prices may remain high for some time they will eventually come back down once the Eastern State’s get their egg industry back on track.

However, he claims he doesn’t have time to wait. Adding,

“Yeah, it’s a bit ironic as the moral of Aesop’s tale was not to fark your own shit up by short term money grabs but with the help of a few laying hens I’ll be able to get an investment property in Belmont and in 10 years I’ll be able to buy the goose back!”

He raises a depressing point.
