A Golden Triangle resident has faced a harsh dose of reality after his parents informed him that they were only going to extend themselves as far as purchasing a Mount Claremont 4*2 for him to live in.
William held back tears as he explained the moments that followed the news,
“I was disoriented like in one of those battlefield scenes with explosions going off. I can’t believe my parents would do this to me. Just ship me up north to the Mount Claremont slums where the median house price is a full $300k lower than the motherland”
William’s parents conceded that it broke their hearts but it was the only way to teach their son some humility and the value of money. Adding,
“After 2-3 years living in the forbidden land, he will have an appreciation for the value of generational wealth. It should also help him focus on the role we secured him at my company, with a little hard work and lot of nepotism a man can really make something of himself in this town”
William’s mother understood that the reality check was necessary for her boy but did fear what the other ladies down at the yacht club would think.
Enjoying some Xan and champers, William’s mother told The Times,
“William has had a very privileged upbringing and we thought it wise to toughen him up by making him live on the wrong side of the tracks. It really isn’t in our DNA to live in a house under the $2.5M mark so it will be a steep learning curve for him”
We understand William’s friends have disowned him after learning of the new address.
Stay strong William. You’ll get there.
