The Collingwood Footy club are spewin’ after losing a commanding lead to the Walyalup Dockers and end up with their 2nd and the AFL’s 3rd draw for the year.
Naturally, the top brass of the Pies were looking for excuses and blamed the AFL’s unfair policy on business class seats when travelling.
The policy forced the team to book Jetstar extra legroom seats for some of their bigger men. Which came out a few inches above the normal Qantas economy seats. A spokesperson told The Times,
“The AFL needs to seriously rethink this policy. Some of our big men were only entitled to Jetstar extra legroom and you know those flights are steaming piles of shit as they are. How is this any way to treat their favoured sons?”
It raises a good point. Why is the AFL making the Pies travel? It’s well known they would want them playing every single game at the MCG.
To figure out the answer we spoke to an insider and asked them why the thought some extra Jetstar legroom seats was evening the playing field. They told The Times,
“We can’t be seen giving them extra business class seats. So we did our research and found out that the emergency seat on Jetstar is reasonably roomy. Sure, you have to fly on Jetstar but honestly Qantas has dropped so far that it doesn’t even seem like a disadvantage to our precious, precious boys”
We reached out to our Flagmantle insider who told The Times that the fact the Pies got 8 Jetstar extra legroom seats was a disgrace. Adding,
“Why don’t we get business seats and extra room seats on Jetstar flights? It’s just the VLF favouring their beloved team once again. Have you seen the Qantas economy seats these days? Nothing great about that”
Food for thought.
