Cricket Australia blames Justin Langer for Australia’s embarrassing test shellacking

Cricket Australia has released a statement levelling the entire blame for Australia’s shameful effort in the first test against former coach Justin Langer.

Despite not having coached the Australian team since February 2022, Cricket Australia was confident that Langer was to blame. A source close to Cricket Australia told The Times,

“It was bad enough when he had Australia winning, now he has Australia losing! You just know Cricket Australia prefer to blame Justin than to look any deeper into the issues with the players themselves”

Cricket Australia isn’t alone in the criticism, with many a New South Welshman cursing his name when the Aussie batters collapsed like a cheap garden chair at Clive Palmer’s BBQ. We spoke to a Sydney local who told The Times,

“Maybe if Langer had cuddled Labuschagne more often and told him he was a superstar then he wouldn’t be in this form slump”

Likewise, Australia’s inability to get a wicket in India’s second innings was probably due to Langer not letting the star players dictate their own terms 2 years ago.

Certainly food for thought. Naturally, Westralians disagree with Cricket Australia’s analysis and have defended their favourite cricketing son.
