Don Pyke calms Eagles fans by revealing they also received a handful of magic beans for the trade

Don Pyke has been made aware of some rather strong reactions in the media and Eagles’ fan base over the trade that will see Eagles lose pick 3 and take on Liam Baker & Matthew Owies next year.

Fronting up to a press conference today, Don has told the staunch supporters of the club that the deal was sweetened by a handful of the finest magic beans the AFL had on offer.

A source close to The West Coast Eagles told The Times,

“Pick 3 is valuable but what might become of these magic beans? If anyone is familiar with the Fairy Tale the beans ended up being hell good. We will grow a couple of superstar kids and then also use the beans to raid the treasure in the VFL next year”

We couldn’t tell if the source was talking delusionally or metaphorically however it did sound good.

To get to the bottom of how prosperous these magic beans could be we spoke to a leading AFL trade expert who had just finished a busy off-season talking as much shit as humanly possible on talkback radio. He told The Times,

“Lots of people don’t realise it but the Pies did this and got the Daicos boys. Lots of people think it was the father/son rule but the Pies grew those boys right from the dirt and look how that worked out for them”

That’s a good point. So the question now remains is whether Don Pyke’s latest statement has done anything to calm the Eagles’ fans?

Well, judging by Daryl from Belmont – no. The famous “play the kids” mastermind is absolutely fuming and has commenced legal action against the club.

Yikes.
