Freo fans start painful task of finding new activities for their September holiday in Melbourne

All across Westralia, Freo fans have started the gruelling task of finding fun new activities to do in Melbourne seeing as they’d locked & loaded their holidays mid year in a purple fuelled frenzy.

Sites such as RedBalloon and Booking.com have been lighting up since the Freo Dockers went down by 20 points to Port Adelaide at Perth Stadium this evening thus missing out on the 2024 finals.

We spoke to an aggrieved Flagmantle fan who in a moment of madness had tried to flush his purple scarf down the toilets. He told The Times,

“There’s no point trying to get a refund from the airlines so I’m taking the family out of spite to Melbourne. A cruise on the Yarra looks nice. Maybe we’ll go and sample some fresh produce in Mornington. I am dead inside”

Of course, not every Freo flan was blindsided by the lose. With some opting to book exciting activities for September a few weeks ago. One told The Times,

“I could sense this happening but on the bright side how good are wildflowers in the Victorian spring. I reckon I’ll be really enjoying some beautiful flowers on the 28th September. Wildflowers will make everything better”

It’s clear that the real winner of tonight’s game is Melbourne’s tourism operators.
