Despite landing in Perth early this week, the pop princess has been laying low. Rumours began to swirl as to why but The Times has the answer.
She has been hiding out in her luxury suite in a state of despair after being told she wasn’t able to partake in her favourite Perth activity – doing the loco-motion on the Armadale Line which is shut down for upgrades.
While the original song writers say the catchy pop anthem wasn’t inspired by trains, for Kylie it very much is. In particular, a brand spankin’ C-Series roaring along her favourite train line. An insider told The Times,
“A lot has changed since the last time she was in Perth in 2019. Unfortunately, not for the better. If she’d known the Armadale Line was down she probably would’ve skipped this sad little backwater City”
To help cheer her up, some Perth locals on her team told her that she could always “do the replacement bus” on the Armadale Line which certainly isn’t as catchy.
Another failed suggestion was offering the new Yanchep extension but by all accounts the main reason for this tour is to get away from the limey hordes of brits she must endure each day.
Her team even threw out a hail mary throw, asking her if she’d like to boogie on the Ellenbrook Line. This made her even sadder. A source added,
“It’s one thing that the Armadale Line is closed but to rub it in their faces by allowing Ellenbrook the ability to travel to her concert with ease was the final straw”
In more heartbreaking news, she will indeed be changing the lyrics to the song to “do the replacement bus with me” in solidarity of the people living along the Armadale Line.
