Mineral Resources follow Eagles’ lead and blame Simmo for their recent performance

Mineral Resources has been mauled in the news lately for a string of controversies involving its CEO. In turn, this has lead to the share price halving since 2023 – some might say tanking.

Instead of blaming the beleaguered CEO, the company has decided to follow the lead of the very company they sponsor, the mighty West Coast Eagles, and put all the blame for their recent performance on former coach Adam Simpson.

A spokesperson for the mining company told The Times,

“Just like our partner, we are deciding to channel all the blame towards a man who has done nothing but give his all. That’s the West Coast way and that’s the MinRes way”

In another statement, Mineral Resources concedes that while Adam Simpson had no direct role at Mineral Resources he was a convenient scapegoat and it was much easier to blame Simmo than look a bit deeper.

They also concede that they would’ve had a much stronger final quarter if it wasn’t for Alex Witherden.

Naturally, local shitrag The West was happy to support the delusion and are planning a front page showing the last 8 of Simmo’s financial quarters at MinRes.

It won’t be a pretty sight.
