New Smart Freeway NOR Gives Up After A Few Hours of Perth Holiday Traffic

The new Smart Freeway between Hester Avenue and Vincent Street on the Mitchell Freeway has decided to pack it in after just a few hours of dealing with Perth holiday traffic.

The first weekend of the Xmas holidays are notoriously busy on the roads as people scramble to do last minute Xmas shopping, get down south and generally live life to the max.

Naturally, this has left the new Smart Freeway thinking who left the gate open at the farkwit farm. A spokesperson for the Smart Freeway told The Times,

“It has a base level of sentience and after a few hours it thought, what’s the point? It is smart enough to know that it’s not going to make a difference, so why bother?”

Motorists on that stretch of Freeway haven’t noticed the change given they weren’t following its instructions to begin with.

We spoke to a motorist who disregarded the Smart Freeways suggestion to hit the on ramp at 80kph. Adding,

“NO. ONE. TELLS. ME. WHAT. TO DO. GET. OUT. OF. MY. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY”

It is certainly fairly clear why the Smart Freeway made the decision to give up.
