Qantas has been forced to drop the London to Perth direct flight due to concerns from limey expats that there isn’t enough available real estate in the City of Joondalup and Wanneroo.
Accordingly, the love affair for the route has only been one way – Aussies going on their cultural sabbatical to work as a dancing monkey in an English pub.
A spokesperson for Qantas told The Times,
“the entire point of the flight was to relocate angry, miserable gits to Perth’s beautiful northern beaches. Unfortunately the lack of rentals & homes for sale has stifled that dream. They won’t come unless they can have a little slice”
It’s a tragedy that affects ex-pats already here too. With many young brits unable to leave the family nest.
Some are forced to even return to the God forsaken shithole their parents came from.
