REPORT: Melbourne couldn’t find a clearance at an early 2000s Rugs-a-Million closing down sale

The AFL has conceded that one of its most loved sons – the Melbourne Demons – have developed a real and brutal allergy to clearances today.

By quarter time they had recorded 0 to Flagmantle’s 14. By half time the Dee’s had only racked up 3 clearances which contributed to a Perth Stadium shellacking this afternoon.

A spokesperson for the AFL told The Times,

“Their ability to find clearances were so bad that we doubt they could have even found on in the early 2000s at one of Rugs-a-Millions habitual closing down sales. That’s how bad its got”

Clearly missing a proper ruckman hurt the Demons but to ensure it never happens again the coach will be forcing every player to review old Rugs-a-Million ads on Youtube to make sure they know what a clearance looks like.

More to come.
