Suspicion raised after Perth motorist fails to bypass Bunbury

South West locals tipped off authorities today after a Perth motorist made the conscious choice to drive through Bunbury on his way to Margaret River.

Since the bypass opened yesterday and the new Bunbury Farmers Market opened in Vasse last week there are essentially no reasons for a city slicker to visit the coastal town.

We spoke to a witness who said they knew instantly they were dealing with a real sicko when he continued down Forrest Highway rather than turning onto the Wilman Wadandi Highway and doing what any normal person would do. Adding,

“I decided to follow him to see if he was just heading to the original farmers market. Maybe he hadn’t realised Vasse was opened and it was all innocent but when he failed to turn off I knew something was wrong. I called authorities are they dispatched every available vehicle”

The man was then seen pulling into the Bunbury Forums car park. WA Police told The Times,

“We spoke to witnesses at the scene who said the man wasn’t doing a little deal or busting for a shit. Basically the two main reasons you’d go to Bunbury Forum. We were advised the man was just doing a lovely bit of shopping. Checking out deals and enjoying his time. It was weird”

It was the final straw and the man was dragged into custody and questioned. Unfortunately, authorities were unable to work out what his deal was and was forced to release him.

We managed to catch up with him after he was a free man and he told us,

“They couldn’t understand why someone would willingly visit Bunbury. I told them that I liked its quirky little charm and they physically grimaced at me. I think Bunbury is really underrated and just love it here. I actually prefer my stop over here to my holiday in Margaret River”

His comments caused The Times to file a complaint with the police and after obtaining a warrant they searched his car.

We can report that the man has now been charged with the offence of smuggling 3 fully grown Collie adults into the town and will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. Police adding,

“We understand that the individuals found hiding in the back of the dual cab were destined for the dancefloors of Fitzys. This is a big quarantine breach as you could imagine”
