WA lets Cricket Australia know the Swan River is free if they need a drier location to finish this test

In true Westralian form, the great State has reached out to Cricket Australia to let them know that the Swan River is free for the rest of the week if they need a drier location to finish this Gabba test.

The test in Brisbane has been frustrating to say the least, with the first day totally rained out and play resuming in about 15 minute bursts today before the covers need to be carried out.

A spokesperson for WA said it was always looking to help and compared to the Gabba, the Swan River was practically Death Valley. Adding,

“Cricket fans just want to see some cricket and obviously the level of moisture on the pitch is affecting that. So we are saving the day, just like we did with the Grand Final during the spicy cough era”

Cricket Australia has apparently refused to reply to WA. Stating that until we cast Bancroft & Langer off into the Indian Ocean they will not be dealing with us.

Classic Cricket Australia!
